Chongalulu lies on the east bank of Mtwapa Creek, overlooking the sea. It is surrounded by a lush tropical garden inhabited by many monkeys that often pop in for a visit.

Two huge, ancient Neem trees provide areas of shade and relaxation, with baobabs along the shore leading to the private beach.

Tall palm trees surround the pool area, while bougainvillea, frangipani and bushes of colorful equatorial flowers are scattered throughout the garden.

The house is located in an area which enjoys the coolness of the sea and at the same time is protected from the strong monsoon winds blowing from the south.

The house spreads mainly? over one floor and all the rooms face the sea.

There is a huge patio that serves as a relaxation area with typical Swahili-style sofas and dining table.

Another table is romantically situated on the edge of the garden under the Neem tree in front of the beach, creating an enchanting spot to dine in the moonlight.

The private white sandy beach changes according to the tides. At high tide it offers crystal clear water for a peaceful swim or, at low tide, a pleasant walk to the local fishermen's spot where you can bargain the purchase of the catch of the day.
