THE BOAT

Our Boston Whaler "PAPERO", with its 26 feet and two 200 hp engines, is the flagship of the resort. In fact we are the only resort in the whole area of Mombasa to offer a combination of accommodation and a private boat. The property has its own pier, where "PAPERO" is permanently moored for our guests.

 

It is a versatile boat, fully equipped for fishing, with GPS, radio and depth sounder. The experienced crew consists of the captain and two sailors who provide year-round maintenance.

 

With a large bow sundeck, it is ideal for trips to the reef, where you can easily and safely snorkel, and sail to the close-by Mombasa's Marine Park.

 

Scuba divers can schedule trips to the Cliffs of Wuma and explore the many wrecks nearby.

 

You can treat yourself to a drink on board while enjoying the sunset from the calm waters of the creek. The great experience can be brilliantly rounded off with a dinner at the unique Moorings Club floating restaurant.

 

Thanks to the reliability of the boat, over the years we have sailed as far as the archipelago of Lamu to the North (140 nautical miles) and the archipelago of Zanzibar to the south, coasting the islands of Pemba, Mnemba and Mafia.

 

Sea lovers can spend a whole day in the ocean, seizing the opportunity to come across dolphins, giant turtles, whale sharks, sailfish, marlins, and, at certain times of the year, whales.

 

During the day you can also reach the beautiful Chale Island, called the Kenyan Mont Saint-Michel because of its tides, where the island's exclusive resort provides one of the best restaurants on the coast.
